RTE's Vivienne Traynor supported charity fun run for Irish Kidney Association as young family member awaits kidney transplant.
Call for 2nd Kidney Transplanting Hospital
At the launch of the 2016 Organ Donor Awareness Week (2nd April - 9th April), the IKA called for a second kidney transplanting hospital, predicting that the 2,000 number of people on dialysis now will be 3,000 in ten year's time.

The Annual Organ Donor Awareness Week organised by the Irish Kidney Association took place this year from 1st - 8th April, and once again highlighted the ongoing and ever increasing demand for organ transplantation which relies on the public for organ donation.

"Unintentional Hero", a song written and released by singer/songerwriter, Pat Curran, raises awareness for organ donation and funds for Strange Boat Donor Foundation.
