As part of its social outreach programme, volunteers from among the two hundred staff of Mervue-based PennEngineering, have been making a very valuable contribution to the care and development of the Circle of Life Garden in Salthill.

During October volunteers and their families spent two Saturday mornings helping with clearing and pruning in the Garden, and on two further Saturday mornings in November they helped to plant over 15,000 Spring bulbs which include daffodils, tulips, blue bells, hyacinths, allium etc.
“We have taken our inspiration for this Spring garden from the Keukenhof Park/Gardens in Holland, and hope to achieve, albeit on a smaller scale, a colour spectacular in the garden in Spring 2019”, said Martina Goggin of Strange Boat Donor Foundation.
“The voluntary commitment and contribution of groups such as PennEngineering”, said Martina, “is of invaluable assistance to the ongoing maintenance and care of the Circle of Life Garden, and is very much appreciated”.
