Carol Moore new CEO of the IKA

Carol Moore becomes new Chief Executive Officer of the Irish Kidney Association on the retirement of Mark Murphy after 20 years at the head of the organisation. 

Carol Moore brings to the Irish Kidney Association her considerable experience in healthcare, education, telecoms, and not-for-profit organisations delivering community services.

In welcoming Carol to the IKA, its Honorary National Chairman, Colin MacKenzie said, "Carol's broad wealth of knowledge and experience are suited to the current needs of our Association, in advocating for kidney patients and their families as well as promoting the organ donor card". 

Carol said on her appointments, "I feel extremely honoured to be appointed as the IKA's new CEO.  Many years ago, a family member experienced kidney failure and we benefited from the services of the IKA, so I have had a particular interest in the work of the IKA since that time".


Mark Murphy was Chief Executive of the Irish Kidney Association since the year 2000, and during that time worked tirelessly promoting the importance of organ donation and also in the support of renal patients and their families from the across the country.
