Kenny Family Loughrea, supports Circle of Life Garden

The Kenny Family from Loughrea presented a cheque for €5,000 to  Strange Boat Donor Foundation in memory of Mary Kenny whose organs were donated following her sudden death from a brain aneurysm in 2019.

The family also planted a shrub in Mary's memory in the Circle of Life Garden in Salthill, Galway.

In 2022 Mary’s husband, John and daughter Isabelle, with family and friends, began fundraising in her memory and raised the staggering amount of €47,500 from various activities including a Go Fund Me Page - A “Jump for Mary”  Skydive; a  coffee morning, and an evening of music in Carton House, Ballinakill with a raffle and spot prizes sponsored by local businesses.

From these fundraising endeavours, the family has very kindly donated to Strange Boat Donor Foundation and the Circle of Life Garden, to Quest Brain Injury Services Galway and to the ICU in Galway University Hospital.
