World Day of Remembrance

Sunday, 15th November, was World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and many remembrance events were held around the country.

Circle of Life Garden Flooded

Having escaped the ravaging might of the elements before Christmas, Circle of Life Commemortive Garden succumbed to the forces of nature and, like so many other parts of Salthill and the West Coast, was completely flooded during the storm and high tide on Thursday night, 2nd January.

Circle of Life - work begins

On September, 18th 2013, the first machine rolled in to Quincentennial Park to start construction on Circle of Life National Commemorative Garden to Organ Donors.  All things going well and weather permitting, it is anticipated the garden will be completed by the end of December, 2013.

Oireachtas Report on Organ Donation

The Oireachtas All party Health Committee report on organ donation proposes to change the current opt-in system for an opt-out approach.  The report was published on Tuesday, lst October in Leinster House.

RTE  broadcast two very powerful programmes recently featuring the importance of the life giving cause of organ donation, The Moment of Truth - Blathanid Ní Cofaigh interview with Tony Gavigan, and Joe Brolly - Perfect Match.
