Fundraising Coffee Morning a huge success

The Coffee Morning held at Tigh Chualain, Conamara on Saturday 28th March to raise awareness for organ donation was a huge success, and raised the brilliant sum of €1,794 in support of Circle of Life Commemorative Garden in Salthill.

Launch of Organ Donor Awareness Week

Speaking at the launch of Organ Donor Awareness Week, the Chief Executive of the Irish Kidney Association, Mark Murphy, suggested that greater ties with Northern Ireland would increase organ transplants.

Heart & Lung Transplant Mass of Remembrance

Each year the Irish Heart & Lung Transplant Association hold a Mass of Remembrance & Thanksgiving at the Mater Hospital Chapel to remember their donors and their families and to give thanks for their gift of life.

Leuven Stone in Circle of Life Garden

The National Minister General of the Franciscan Order, Fr. Hugh McKenna paid a special visit to the Circle of Life Garden in Salthill on Friday last to bless the stone from Leuven in Belgium which represents Europe in the garden's Global Heritage Walkway.

Mary Kennedy Endorses Organ Donor Awareness

Mary Kennedy continues her voluntary role of Ambassador for Organ Donor Awareness.  This is Mary's second year endorsing organ donor awareness and promoting Organ Donor Awareness Week, organised by the Irish Kidney Association from March 28th - April 4th.
